What your consultation fee covers - including the work that happens behind the scenes

I believe it should be clear what you are paying for when you choose to work with me. Your consultation fee doesn't only cover the time we spend together. It also covers the individual case work, prescription and ongoing support that happen around your appointments.

Consultation fees

Initial consultation - £140
Follow-up consultation - £80

If you live locally, you receive a £20 discount on your initial consultation, bringing the cost to £120. Homeopathic remedies are also included in the consultation fee for local clients.

Joint follow-ups and packages are also available with 10% discount already built in.

What about the cost of remedies?

If you live elsewhere in the UK or overseas, you will usually need to order your remedies directly from a homeopathic pharmacy. I make this as easy as possible by sending you links to the remedies you need from a pharmacy that can deliver to your location.

Homeopathic remedies themselves are generally very inexpensive. A tube containing around 30 pills will often cost approximately £5, and in many cases you may only need a few pills from it.

What happens after your consultation?

Your consultation fee doesn't just cover our time together in the consulting room or on Zoom. I typically spend 1-3 hours working on your case after each consultation.

This may involve reviewing everything we have discussed, researching and comparing possible remedies, deciding on potency and repetition, and considering how different parts of your prescription should be introduced or sequenced.

This is particularly important in complex cases, where the question isn't simply which remedy fits? but also what does this person need first, how much intervention can they tolerate, and what should wait until later?

Once I have finished thinking, I prepare your individual prescription, which includes detailed instructions on how and when to take your remedies, what to look out for, and what I expect may happen before we meet again. For local clients, I also prepare the remedies by hand.

Support between appointments

You can email me between appointments if you have an important question relating to your treatment, particularly if you are unsure about a reaction or whether you should continue with your prescription.

I also run Anna's Homeopathy Hub, a free online learning community for my clients and anyone else interested in learning more about homeopathy. Inside the Hub, you'll find my growing Homeopathy Field Guide - a free course designed to help you understand what happens during homeopathic treatment, how to recognise and respond to remedy reactions, and when home prescribing may or may not be appropriate.

The Hub also gives you a place to ask questions, share experiences and learn from other members. I regularly add new videos and resources based on the questions and situations I encounter in practice.

Can I claim the cost through health insurance?

If you are based in the UK, quite possibly. I am a registered member of the Society of Homeopaths (RSHom), and some UK private health insurance and healthcare cash plans cover consultations with registered homeopaths.

Your exact cover will depend on your individual policy, so please check with your provider before booking if you are hoping to claim the cost back.

If you live outside the UK, reimbursement is less straightforward. Some international insurance policies may cover complementary healthcare or homeopathy, but they may not recognise UK professional registrations. It is worth checking with your insurer whether consultations with a UK-registered homeopath are eligible.

I am happy to provide an invoice or receipt for your claim.

Individualised treatment, rather than standard protocol

There is no standard amount of work that goes into a homeopathic case because there is no standard homeopathic case.

Some prescriptions are relatively straightforward. Others require several hours of analysis, research and careful planning after we have spoken.

My fees are designed to cover this whole process - our time together, the clinical work that happens afterwards, your individual prescription and the support available to you between appointments.
