Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply when you book or purchase a consultation or package from Anna Bihari.

1. About the practice

The practice is operated by Szilvia Anna Bihari, trading as Anna Bihari Homeopathy, a sole trader based in England.

Anna is a qualified homeopath and registered member of the Society of Homeopaths (RSHom).

Practice address: The Practice Rooms, 57 Ship Street, BN1 1AF, Brighton
Email: [email protected]

References to “I”, “me” or “my” mean Anna Bihari. References to “you” mean the person booking the service or, where relevant, the parent or guardian booking for a child.

2. The service I provide

I provide individualised homeopathic consultations, which may include case-taking, homeopathic remedy prescribing and, where appropriate and within my professional competence, general nutritional or naturopathic guidance.

Homeopathy is a complementary system of medicine. My services do not replace medical diagnosis, emergency care or treatment from a doctor or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

I do not diagnose medical conditions, provide emergency medical care or advise you to discontinue prescribed medication. Any decision concerning medication should be discussed with the clinician who prescribed it.

No particular result can be promised. Individual experiences and responses vary. I will provide my services with reasonable care and skill, in accordance with my professional training and applicable professional standards.

3. Emergencies and urgent medical concerns

My practice is not an emergency or urgent medical service.

If you or your child has severe, rapidly worsening or otherwise concerning symptoms, contact NHS 111, your GP or another appropriate medical service. Call 999 in an emergency.

Acute homeopathic consultations are intended only for recent, short-term, non-emergency concerns. They are not a substitute for urgent medical assessment, particularly following a significant injury or where serious illness may be present.

4. Booking a consultation

A booking is confirmed when you complete the booking process and any required payment has been received.

The consultation type, duration, location and price will be shown when you book. Current prices are also published on my website.

Online consultations normally take place by Zoom. In-person consultations take place at the location stated in your booking confirmation.

Please check that the contact details supplied with your booking are correct. Appointment information and online meeting links will be sent to the email address you provide.

5. Consultations for children

A consultation for a person under 18 must be booked by a parent or person with parental responsibility.

The booking adult is responsible for providing accurate information and for giving the necessary consent for the child’s consultation. Depending on the child’s age and circumstances, I may also seek the child’s agreement and involve them appropriately in the consultation.

A parent or responsible adult may need to attend or remain available during the appointment. I may decline or stop a consultation if I have concerns about consent, safeguarding or whether the service is appropriate.

Any photograph, audio recording or video concerning a child should only be supplied when specifically requested and through a method agreed with me. Please do not send sensitive images or recordings through ordinary email without discussing this with me first.

6. Your responsibilities

To help me provide an appropriate professional service, you agree to:

provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge;

tell me about relevant diagnoses, medication, supplements, treatment and changes in your health;

seek appropriate medical assessment when symptoms require it;

ask if anything about the consultation or suggested course of action is unclear;

use remedies only as directed and tell me about any unexpected or concerning changes; and

attend appointments at the agreed time and provide sufficient notice if you need to change them.

You remain responsible for your own healthcare decisions and, where applicable, those made for your child.

7. Remedies, tests and other third-party services

Unless stated otherwise, the consultation fee does not include the cost of remedies, supplements, laboratory testing, postage or services supplied by another business.

A remedy may be provided directly by me or ordered from an independent pharmacy. Where you purchase from a pharmacy or another supplier, its own prices, delivery arrangements and terms will apply.

Any laboratory test is provided by an independent laboratory. I do not control its processing times, services or results. Testing is optional unless otherwise agreed, and it does not replace medical testing or diagnosis through an appropriately qualified medical professional. I do not receive commission from recommended pharmacies or laboratories.

8. Payment

Fees must be paid at the time stated during booking or on the invoice. Prices are shown in pounds sterling.

You are responsible for any charges applied by your bank, card provider or payment service, including currency-conversion charges for international payments.

If payment is not received when due, I may postpone the appointment or withhold further services until the outstanding amount has been paid.

9. Rescheduling and appointment cancellations

You may reschedule or cancel an appointment by using the link in your booking confirmation or by emailing me.

If you provide at least 48 hours’ notice, you may reschedule the appointment or request a refund of the consultation fee.

If you cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, the fee is normally non-refundable. If I am able to refill the appointment, I may offer a refund or credit at my discretion.

If you arrive late, the appointment may still need to finish at the original time. The full fee will remain payable. If there is insufficient time to provide the booked service safely or appropriately, the appointment may need to be rearranged and treated as a late cancellation.

If you do not attend and have not cancelled, the full fee is payable.

These provisions do not affect any statutory cancellation rights described below.

10. If I cancel an appointment

Occasionally, I may need to cancel or rearrange an appointment because of illness or circumstances outside my reasonable control.

If this happens, I will offer another appointment or refund the amount paid for the affected appointment. I will not be responsible for unrelated costs such as travel, accommodation, childcare or loss of earnings, except where the law requires otherwise.

11. Packages

A package includes only the consultations and services described when it is purchased.

Packages:

are intended for the person or family members named when booking;

may not be transferred to another person without my agreement;

must be used within 6 months of purchase;

cannot be exchanged for cash; and

remain subject to the cancellation and rescheduling terms above.

A consultation cancelled late or missed without notice may be treated as used and deducted from the package.

If you end a package after the statutory cancellation period, any refund offered will be calculated after deducting consultations already provided at their normal individual prices, together with any non-recoverable costs incurred for you. No refund will be due if the value of services already provided equals or exceeds the amount paid.

Any Brighton or local-client discount applies only where the eligibility conditions stated at the time of purchase are met.

12. Your right to cancel an online purchase

If you are a UK consumer and purchase a service or package online or by phone, you will normally have a legal right to cancel the contract within 14 days after the contract is made, without giving a reason.

To exercise this right, email me at [email protected] with a clear statement that you wish to cancel.

If you ask for a consultation or other service to begin within the 14-day cancellation period, you expressly request early performance of the service. If you then cancel before the service has been completed, I may deduct a proportionate charge for services already provided.

Once a service has been fully provided within the cancellation period, you will lose the right to cancel it if you expressly requested that it begin during that period and acknowledged that the cancellation right would be lost once the service was completed.

Where a refund is due under these statutory rights, it will be made without undue delay and normally within 14 days of being informed of your cancellation, using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.

Your statutory rights are not affected by any other provision in these Terms.

13. Communication between consultations

Reasonable administrative communication concerning appointments and urgent clinical questions is included.

A substantial change in symptoms, requests for a new remedy assessment or advice concerning another person may require a further consultation and may incur an additional fee. I will tell you before charging for additional work.

Email and messaging are not monitored continuously and must not be used for emergencies.

14. Confidentiality, records and privacy

I keep consultation records and handle personal information, including health information, in accordance with applicable data-protection law and my professional obligations.

Information will normally be treated as confidential. However, I may need to disclose information where:

you have given permission;

disclosure is required by law;

it is necessary to protect you or another person from a serious risk of harm;

there is a safeguarding concern; or

confidential professional supervision is required, where identifying information will be minimised where practicable.

Further information about what I collect, why I use it, how long I retain it and your rights is provided in my Privacy Policy.

15. Online and international consultations

You are responsible for having a suitable internet connection, compatible equipment and a private place for an online consultation.

Although reasonable precautions are taken, no internet or communications service can be guaranteed to be completely uninterrupted or secure. If technical problems materially affect a consultation, we will agree an appropriate way to complete or rearrange it.

If you are outside the United Kingdom, you are responsible for checking whether you may legally receive my services and whether remedies can lawfully be supplied or imported in your location. I may decline an international booking where regulatory, safety, insurance or practical considerations make the service inappropriate.

16. Ending the professional relationship

You may stop working with me at any time, subject to the payment, cancellation and package provisions in these Terms.

I may decline or end the professional relationship where, for example:

the service is outside my competence or professional scope;

medical or other specialist assessment is required;

I cannot obtain appropriate consent;

essential information has not been provided;

professional boundaries have not been respected;

fees remain unpaid; or

continuing would be unsafe, unlawful or contrary to professional standards.

Where appropriate, I will explain my decision and encourage you to seek a suitable alternative source of support. Ending the professional relationship does not remove liability for services already supplied.

17. Complaints

If you are unhappy with any aspect of my service, please contact me first at [email protected]. I will acknowledge your concern and aim to respond fairly and promptly.

As a registered member of the Society of Homeopaths, I am subject to its professional and ethical requirements. Information about its complaints procedure is available from the Society of Homeopaths.

Nothing in this section affects your legal rights.

18. Liability and statutory rights

Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

I am responsible for providing the contracted service with reasonable care and skill. I do not guarantee a particular health outcome or that the service will meet every individual expectation.

I am not responsible for loss caused by:

inaccurate, incomplete or withheld information;

a failure to obtain appropriate medical attention;

using a remedy or other product differently from the instructions provided;

the acts or omissions of an independent pharmacy, laboratory, delivery provider or other third party; or

circumstances outside my reasonable control,

except where the law provides otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms affects the rights available to you under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other applicable consumer law.

19. Intellectual property

The written materials, guides, recordings and other resources I create remain my intellectual property unless stated otherwise.

Materials supplied to you are for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, publish, sell, distribute or use them to provide services to other people without my written permission.

20. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms from time to time. The Terms in force when you make a booking or purchase will normally apply to that contract. The current version and effective date will be published on my website.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
